Rioja Alta & Rioja Alavesa Wine Route, visiting our Wineries & Vineyards
“A selection of the best places to visit in Rioja based on more than 2,500 reviews”
The journey into the Rioja Wine Country will begin at the Dinastía Vivanco Museum of Wine Culture, one of those experiences that everyone who likes the wine world must have. The goal is to enjoy yourself, taste wines, learn a little more, and above all indulge your senses. After learning about the history, we will visit the Station Quarter in Haro, Rioja Alta, a magical journey to the birth place of Rioja Wine visiting some of the the oldest and most traditional wineries, among them are:
Lopez de Heredia Vina Tondonia • Bodegas Muga Bodega La Rioja Alta • Gomez Cruzado • Cvne • Bodegas Bilbaínas • Bodegas Roda
You will experience a unique and unforgettable meal in a winery in Rioja Alavesa, that can either be in the vineyard or in the underground cellar, depending on the weather conditions. We could not finish the route without visiting the most famous and oldest winery in Rioja, Marques de Riscal, that boasts a new state-of-the-art building designed by the prestigious architect, Frank O. Gehry, where Architecture, Design and Art live in harmony with Wine.
